NFL Umpire
Brandon Cruse is an NFL official (umpire) and former Big 12 referee best known for leading the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship crew Before joining the NFL in 2022, he worked marquee assignments including the 2020 Rose Bowl and the 2018 Peach Bowl. A South Dakota native and graduate of the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, he also brings referee-in-chief experience from the XFL/AAF era and is active in training and mentoring officials.
